Development of Electric Propulsion Ship for Huis Ten Bosch has been completed.
The ship is now operating for Huis Ten Bosch Canal Cruise

March 26, 2010, the clean energy ship practical application study group comprised of industry-academia-government collaboration in NAGASAKI prefecture has announced completion of an electric propulsion ship to media representatives and journalists at Huis Ten Bosch in Sasebo-city.
On that day, media representatives and journalists took a demonstration ride in the electric propulsion ship and experienced quiet and CO2 zero-emission canal cruise propelling by electric power of solar array panels.
The application study group funded by public subsidy of NAGASAKI prefecture have started to develop an electric propulsion ship for Huis Ten Bosch from F.Y.2007 and completed in F.Y.2009.
Our company has received development commission of an electric propulsion ship from Huis Ten Bosch, and proceeded to design and manufacture electric propulsion system.
The completed electric propulsion ship is equipped with MRC(*1) control unit designed and manufactured by our company in order to utilize the electric power generated with solar array panels maximally.
In accordance with the MRC control function, the ship can be propelled by electric power from solar array panels during fine weather and from lithium batteries which were previously charged by commercial power during cloudy condition, and also electric power generated by solar array panels can be charged into lithium batteries during mooring condition.
Ecological and fossil fuel-free cruising is realized by electric propulsion ship in Huis Ten Bosch.
