CCS received new orders of DCS modification project from China
|
Choryo Control System Co., Ltd. (CCS) received new orders of Distributed Control System (DCS)
modification project for Units 1 and 2 of Zhuhai Power Plant in China.
Zhuhai Power Plant is located in the Gaolan port Economic Zone, Zhuhai city, Guandong province,
China. Units 1 and 2 with capacity of 700MW each were built ten (10) years ago by Mitsubishi
Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI). The existing control system is DIASYS-UP/V made by MHI. However,
improvement of operability and surveillance performance has increasingly demanded based on the
computer performance upgrade in recent years. Under the current order, existing control system
will be replaced with DIASYS Netmation, the latest modern system of MHI. By replacing the DCS,
CCS plans to improve operability and surveillance performance and also to increase
maintainability and reliability.
Since contract signed on end of Oct. 2009, CCS proceeds smoothly with engineering, design and
manufacturing works toward first shipping of Oct. 2010. All works on both units are scheduled
for completion by Dec. 2011.
The Zhuhai power plant continues to operate stably with high availability. Through the above
system upgrades, CCS will further increase the reliability of the facility and gain a foothold
for spreading the Mitsubishi Control System DIASYS Netmation brands in China.
